Joan Hofmann is Professor Emerita at the University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, Connecticut, where she has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in the School of Education for many years. She directed the Academy for Young Writers with students from local public schools for over fifteen years. Antrim House Books published her collection of poetry, Coming Back, in 2014, and more recently Grayson Books published Alive, a collection of poems (2017). She serves on the Boards of the Riverwood Poetry and the Connecticut Poetry Society, is a member of the Connecticut Coalition of Poets Laureate and is the Poet Laureate of Canton, CT (2015-2019).
